A MINI DTAC?

Abu Dhabi Chapter held its 434th Meeting on Tuesday, 13March 2012 in New Medical Centre Building, 2nd Floor – Abu Dhabi. This meeting was for the International Speech and Evaluation Club Contests. While most of us are dreaming of success, winners wake up and work hard to achieve it. I am sure all the participants after each contest were able to say: I gave it all I could, I gave it my best.

We all enjoyed this meeting and in the International Speech Contest we witnessed the brilliance of TM Loyola Pinto, the spontaneity of TM Esperance Mendonca and the elegance of TM Krishnan Subramanian. This quote sums up TM Esperance Menonca competing spirit – “It’s not the size of the man in the fight… it’s the size of the fight in the man. – Darryl.

TM Loyola Pinto was at his brilliant best and gave a profound and thought provoking meaning to ‘Potatoes’ – None of us would ever carry in future a sack full of potatoes – never – particularly if the sack is full of hurt, disappointments, resentments, spite, revenge and all negative human impulses that take away the zest of life and make us miserable, stinking and unhappy.

The Evaluation Contest had some superb moments too and our most polished and analytical evaluator TM Sanjay Vissa with his baritone voice and outstanding analytical abilities walked away with the Best Evaluator Award.

We had the esteemed presence of Area Governor TM Asma  Al Amry, former Area Governor TM Marwan, DTM Sudha Datta and above all a panel of honoured judges who had the arduous task of selecting winners amidst brilliant talent and fierce competition and … all the big hearted role players who worked tirelessly behind the scenes along with VP Education TM Althaf Ahmed and President TM Mane.

It was a MINI DTAC!
